A.A. Stagg High School
Ariana Raygoza's Teacher
I have known Ariana for three years as a student in my Algebra 2 Honors and AVID 12 classes. I have always known Ariana to be a hard-working, committed, and responsible student. She was one of the youngest students in my Algebra 2 Honors class during her sophomore year. However, she demonstrated excellent academic performance and did not back down from the challenge of high level math classes. As a math student, she demonstrated her critical thinking skills by the questions and perspective she brought to the class. In addition, she has always shown to have natural leadership skills. Ariana was always willing to step up and lead her group. As a current student in my AVID 12 class, Ariana continues to show exceptional leadership and character. She is always willing to help and collaborate with any of her classmates. Ariana is a perfect example of an AVID student. She has the individual determination to succeed and takes advantage of every resource and learning opportunity. She has maintained outstanding grades in rigorous courses while participating in extracurricular activities every year of high school. She managed to find a balance between her school work and involvement in sports such as cheerleading, volleyball, varsity track and field, and wrestling. In addition, she has served many hours of volunteer work through the MESA club, NHS and Discovery Martial Arts. Her hard work and commitment in and out of the classroom are truly admirable.
I was Ariana’s cheer coach during her first year of cheerleading. She was new to the sport and did not know much, but that did not stop her from becoming the best. She was our go to girl for everything and never said no to a challenge. She was a great leader for the team always pumping up her teammates before a performance, a fun crowd leader, and willing to help create new routines/stunts. She was one of my top student athletes who always put her education first and set a great example for her teammates. She has a great personality, she is driven to always be the best, and although she stands under 5 feet her confidence stands at 6’9!
Ariana Raygoza was a cheerleader when I coached for her high school freshman year. Throughout her first year cheering on the team, Ariana excelled in all aspects of what a spirit leader should be. She was early to practices, extremely focused throughout all events she participated in and showed great leadership skills among her teammates. Ariana never backed down to a challenge and always encouraged others to try their best. She was always positive even when skills became difficult and routines got longer and more exhausting. She takes advantage of every opportunity that she is given and her commitment to achievement is admirable. I have been honored to be able to see her accomplish many thing in the few short years I have known her. She will do great things in life and I can’t wait to cheer her on along her journey.
I have know Ariana for the past 4 years and have always been amazed by her drive, commitment to success, and ability to naturally lead others. As a 9th grader, she was already jumping into competitions at the national level and working with MESA (Mathematics, Engineering, Science Achievement) students many years more advanced than her. She was also one of the youngest officers in the Stagg MESA class. Her academics were also amazing as she always pushed herself to be the best and challenge herself to achieve at the highest possible level. I know that her abilities will be an asset to any college which she attends. Ariana is am amazing student and has worked very hard in school, extracurricular activities, sports as well as community service.
I have known Ariana Raygoza for two years now and I am still amazed by her determination, positive attitudes, and her ability to be a great role model to her peers. Ariana was a TA for the College and Career Center and each day she brought such positive energy. She always asked to help with certain projects, took the initiative to tour new students around the campus, and often tutored her peers in Alegbra. Ariana has pushed herself in her academics and in her sports as she is one of the best student-athletes in my humble opinion. She has the drive to tackle new challenges and she is committed to achieving each goal she has personally set. I am proud of her academic excellence (current 4.12 GPA) and how she has remained strong and committed to going to her university of choice after her high school graduation. I know she will be the best in her class and in her sports. Ariana has my nomination!
I taught Ariana in her freshman year (English Honors I) and in her junior year (Literary Magazine). She is a remarkable young lady. I have been impressed by her drive to do well in her schoolwork, and in her other activities. She has participated in cheer, where she excelled despite suffering several lower-body injuries. She would hobble into class, never complaining, ready to do her work, and to participate in class in her cheerful, upbeat way. She also found time for martial arts, playing volleyball and running track. On top of all this, last year she was a productive member of the Literary Magazine class, and she was also MESA president. As you can see, this is a quite special young lady. I give her my highest possible recommendation for this, or any other scholarship she may vie for. She will make you proud that you picked her.
Through the past couple of years of knowing Ariana, her drive and ambition to reach her goals have been shown. Her involvement in many different extracurricular activities such as sports and clubs. Volleyball, running track, wrestling, cheerleading, and involved in the MESA department. Always trying her hardest in everything that she does.
Getting to know Ariana for the past three years as a teammate and friend, she has been one of the most determined and goal driven person I’ve ever met. She always encouraging others to strive for greatness and is always looking to improve herself in every way. She is so selfless whether it’s sports or personal life she’s always putting the people she cares about first. I am very lucky have gotten to know Ariana as a teammate and friend.
Ariana don’t know where to start she more than amazing. A great friend helped me get to the college I am at today by helping me study. I currently attend the university of Idaho. She always sets high goals for herself and does not stop until she reaches them. I been knowing her over 4 years now and I never seen her get a GPA lower than 2.0. she always takes the challenging class such as AP and honors. Ariana is a unique individual a born leader very athletic put a her in any sport she will learn it and own it. My two nieces look up to her because she is amazing always helping others. A natural born leader. When someone needs help with school they call Ariana, when someone is going through something personal they call Ariana. She is a great friend to me and I know she will achieve so much and her future. Never met no one like her their is only one Ariana Raygoza and let’s that be known by her actions she does everything to the best of her ability. I know what whatever school she decides to attend they are blessed to have her she believes in nothing but greatness.
Hi haven’t known Ari for very long but when I met her she instantly showed that she is a leader throughout her community and how she carries herself. She does whatever she can to make sure things whether in school or just life in general are done the right way no matter what it is and her friends thrive and work well around her. A natural born leader who deserves everything she’s ever worked for in life.
I’ve known Ariana for quite some time now and she has challenged herself Academically and Mentally no matter the cause. Ariana’s work ethic is surreal no matter if it’s Academic or Athletic Wise she knows what it takes to become a leader to her community. She is nothing more than a respectful and intelligent young lady who’s mindset is committed to fulfilling and assisting a lot of minds. Ariana’s intelligence is off the charts when it comes to assisting others on whatever needs to be done. She has proven what it takes to lead others in the best direction and has amazed others by the way she pushes herself to the best she can be. She is always positive and never negative. She has Achieved so much in life to where she is at right now and what I’ve witnessed throughout the past years is that Achieving Goals is forever in her heart!! So I can’t wait to see what God has planned for her !!!!
Ariana is an amazing young woman that has so much to offer to our society. I’ve had the pleasure of knowing her since she was 5 years old. Her and my daughter started taekwondo together where they both committed themselves to over 10 years, earning their black belts. Her dedication, work ethic, determination, compassion, personality, leadership skills and overall qualities make her an awesome human being! Whether it’s school, work, sports, friendship or community service she always gives and does her very best. As a parent, she’s the perfect friend to have surrounding my daughter. If she’s chosen for this scholarship, it will be going to a well deserving candidate. I know whatever path Ariana chooses to take in life, she will excel at because she doesn’t accept anything less.
Over the years I have watched Ariana Reygoza grow as a competitor, team member, and person. Her commitment has always impressed me. She does not give up, even when challenges to her goals might diminish an athlete with less fortitude. What I find most impressive is, she didn't allow proximity to keep her from being a high-caliber athlete. Ari worked together with other athletes living in her area to make a carpool schedule to get from the Central Valley to the Bay Area for elite training sessions.
My favorite memory is when we teamed up to assemble brown bag lunches to give out to those who were hungry. Her effervescent personality was great to be around during the assembly of the lunch bags, and she was sure to not make anyone feel put down. She was careful to say that the food was for anyone who was hungry and didn't label anyone as poor or less than. Her positivity made the whole experience enjoyable for everyone involved. Any team or organization would be lucky to have her as a representative of their institution.
It has been a pleasure to be a part of Ariana's high school journey. As the AVID Coordinator at Stagg High School, I have the opportunity to work with many outstanding students and Ariana is truly one of the best. She is a natural leader that does not shy away from hard work or a challenge. She takes initiative in group activities and utilizes her keen inquiry skills to promote deep academic discussions and critical thinking amongst the group. Ariana also has an eye for detail and clarity of focus on completing the tasks to their completion. Her ability to balance school and her many extra-curricular activities demonstrates both her organizational and time-management skills. She has been the MVP for both Wrestling and Track and Field, as well as a member of the Cheer squad. As a sophomore, Ariana served as the MESA Club President (Mathematics, Engineering, Science Achievement) and was a member of the team that placed 2nd in the National Engineering Design Competition. Her current GPA is 4.12 and she is ranked 6th in her graduating class of 363. All of these qualities will help her be successful in at the collegiate level, but it is her self-advocacy and her willingness to take academic risks that assure her bright future ahead. Looking forward to hearing about her many successes.
I was one of the teachers at Stagg High School that truly had the honor of having Ariana in my class. She took my World History Honors course during her sophomore year and was highly successful! I could always count on Ariana to be in a good mood, prepared, organized, and a positive contributor to the course. Ariana is the type of student you want to be a good teacher for. She is a bright spot on our campus and participates in many activities and extra-curricular activities including, but not limited to AVID, volleyball, along with track and field. She maintains well over a 4.0 GPA and is a leader on campus. When walking past her in a hallway, she always engages with a bright smile and wave. I will definitely miss Ms. Raygoza as she leaves us to start her new journey, but I know that she will be highly successful, no matter what field she enters.
Guest Frank Moppins, getting to see how a person can be is when they don't know anyone is looking. She likes in our neighborhood and she has a rapport with her peers, close friends and adults. She is very respectful to everyone.
She has a devotion to continue her education and fulfill her academic success, her dedication to school now shows by her attendance and those she chooses as friends. I believe given the opportunity she will make everyone proud. As she continues in her journey in higher education.
Through the 4 years of mentoring Ariana, I have watched her grown to be an outstanding women. Ms. Raygoza never fails to show excellence with whatever tasks thrown at her. Whether it may be academics or athletics, she has demonstrated phenomenal leadership and time managing skills. It has been a great pleasure to see her succeed and be so passionate about what she loves. With every obstacle that has been thrown at her, she never backed down if anything she rose to the occasion. Her drive is what separates her from the rest, if you ask me. From being apart of the cheerleader squad to being the youngest competitors in the MESA club, she has proven to not only her school but to her peers that with hard work and dedication it is possible.
I have had the distinct honor and pleasure having Ariana in my class. I have gotten to work with Ariana in two capacities, one as a student in my Honors Government/Economics class and one as a student on our campus. Ariana has demonstrated here dedication to education and her devotion to creating a positive and meaningful learning environment for her peers. Ariana is one of the most unique students I have ever had the joy of teaching. When she is in class she brings so much energy into the class. She is the type of student that can get the entire class into the lesson and will help out any of her peers if they need it. She sets the example of what is expected in the class and her work is exemplary. She has a natural inquisitiveness and it makes teaching any class with her in it a true pleasure. In her drive for learning it makes me as a teacher push myself harder. She is a positive role model on our campus and gives all students a person to look up to as an example and for help. She is positive and a natural leader. She is one of the most dedicated and driven students I have gotten to teach in my career.
I have known Ariana for 10 years now. I’ve always been impressed with her commitment to hard work and dedication. She has always given %110 to everything she does. From sports to academics, she takes expectations and exceeds them.
She’s a fiercely loyal friend and a natural born leader. She has one of the kindest and most giving hearts, that is felt by everyone who knows her.
With her drive, there is nothing that she won’t accomplish. I’m very proud to know this young woman.
I trained alongside Arianna for a few years and she’s a phenomenal person and athlete. She was such a great athlete to watch in the ring and her 3 California State Championships speak for her excellence both inside and outside the ring. She’s truly a generational talent and her personality and accomplishments will inspire generations to come.
It has been a pleasure to watch Ariana grow from the young girl who used to dog sit for me, and play with my children to the intelligent, motivated young women she has grown to be. I’m so proud of her for not only excelling in school and sports, but for the quality, caring individual she is. As she departs next year to college, I’ll wish her luck, but deep down I know she won’t need it.
Dear Brookside Optometric Group,
I am writing this letter to recommend Ariana Raygoza as a worthy candidate for your scholarship program. She is a hard worker who is seeking to expand her education and achieve the goal of majoring in Kinesiology. Her focus is to help people live a healthy lifestyle through physical movement and exercise.
I first met Ariana when she was six years old at Discovery Martial Arts. I have had the pleasure of teaching, coaching, and watching her grow as a responsible individual. I truly believe her love for physical activity began when she started training to compete at a national level in Taekwondo. Once she got into Stagg high school, she began to expand her athletic ability in sports by joining the cheer team, wrestling team, volleyball team, and the varsity team for track and field. Ariana displays a large amount of leadership and emotional intelligence. She has displayed these characteristics through her involvement in sports, as cheer captain, MESA President, and as a volunteer at Discovery Martial Arts.
Ariana is an intelligent person with an outgoing personality. While having a busy schedule, Ariana has always managed to maintain a GPA over 3.5, and currently has a GPA of 4.20. With allowing herself to properly manage her time, she has accomplished many awards in school, sports, and clubs.
Since I have known Ariana, she has always displayed a strong amount of motivation, commitment, and determination. For this reason, I believe that Ariana would make a great applicant for your scholarship program because she is always striving to better herself, and it would benefit her to expand her knowledge. With this being said, I strongly recommend Ariana as a valuable candidate for this scholarship.
I am writing to tell you about my niece, Arianna Raygoza.
Although we have lived on opposite coasts for much of her life, in that time, I have found her to be a loyal, courteous, and friendly young woman who takes her duties to her family and the larger community very seriously. Throughout the years of knowing Arianna, I have been following her growth and progress closely. Through her hard work, determination, team work, leadership, positive attitude, and competitive nature she has excelled in Tai Kwon Do, Cheer, volleyball, track and field, wrestling, and her academics. She very quickly established herself as a helpful member of and a valuable contributor to each of these activities. She has been a willing and resolute follower when asked to be and a leader when she needed to be.
I understand that being a recipient of this honor means being willing and able to help those in need, to help strengthen the community, and to be an example for others. I can think of no finer example of these qualities than Arianna Raygoza. She has been an inspiration to peers through her helpfulness and selflessness.
Because of these qualities I make this recommendation without hesitation.
Thank you for the opportunity to share these observations.
I first met Ariana almost 10 years ago and began to work with her as a coach and teammate on a martial arts team. As I began to know Ariana better I learned that she had a natural knack for leadership that she would often take charge and leading drills for younger teammates and persisted in the development of younger athletes alongside me. Ariana currently works with me at a new martial arts school assisting with younger fighters and helping them to develop the skills and confidence necessary to do well in the martial arts. She has been passionate and knowledgeable and dedicated to all aspects of her training in the time that I have known her. She has gone on to participate in other sporting events and has shown the same passion and dedication and those parts that she showed with me in the martial arts.
From a young age Ariana Raygoza has displayed leadership qualities and has pushed herself to be the best. Her academics and extra curricular activities display her outstanding capabilities. She has acceled in cherrleading, taekwondo, volleyball track and field and wrestling. She was an officer in MESA and participates in AVID. I have the pleasure of knowning Ariana as an educator and as her aunt. I have watched her grown into a well rounded, self driven, community conscious, athletic, young woman. She pushes herself but always has time to be there for her peers and family. Ariana is a true example of the success that comes from dedication and hard work.
Throughout the years I've known Ariana, she has always been a driven young lady and puts her all in whatever it is she's doing. Academically, Ariana always challenged herself by taking all honors and AP classes. In my Junior year of high school, she was one of the youngest in my algebra II honors and honors chem class and one of the few students that was passing with an A. I knew if I ever needed help I count count on her. Athletically, she has always been a fearless leader. I have no doubt in my mind that Ariana will accomplish great thing and I can't wait to see where she ends up.
I have the honor of calling Ariana my niece that I have a special bond with. This beautiful young lady has always been a great student and her attendance is exemplary. Ariana is a great role-model for other students and our family and inspires greatness. I am so happy to see that her hard work and dedication are paying off and she has deservedly been accepted into all the colleges she applied to. A scholarship would acknowledge that she exemplifies dedication to her education which earned her top 10 at her high school with a 4.2 GPA. Ariana has been a student athlete from the age of six when she started training in Taekwondo where she attained her black belt at a young age. Watching her excel in sports while putting her education first has been so inspirational. I got the pleasure of watching her grow into a confident leader who was not afraid to try something new. She was fearless as a cheerleader and was captain of her squad in her Freshman year. She was so exciting to watch participating in volleyball, varsity track and field and wrestling. Her small stature never held her back and her positive nature drew people to her. My niece has always been an MVP to me, but was named the MVP in wrestling and track and field. She is a perfect example of a true student athlete. Ariana has always been someone who could balance and experience sports along with her education. She took honors classes throughout her high school years in preparation for college. Ariana participated in MESA and was one of the youngest leaders. She always made herself available to her friends who needed her help with their classes and helped tutor students. Reach for the stars Ariana, you have an amazing future ahead of you!
