Lincoln High School
Eli Hancock's Principal
Eli Hancock is a gifted all-around student. He is one of Lincoln High School's highest ranked students in academics, athletics, and band. He serves our school community as part of our ASB Leadership program. Eli is highly deserving of your scholarship.
Eli is a kind and considerate human who is connected to his campus and peers in a multitude of ways. He is gifted yet humble and fun to be around. Students and staff consider him reliable and full of integrity. I love seeing student athletes push through adversity and not letting it derail their goals. Eli is on the other side of injury and giving it his all once again. He would be an excellent choice for your scholarship.
Eli Hancock is one of the brightest, most caring and hard working people I know. He never fails to bring a smile to anyone’s face no matter the circumstances. In class, he never makes anyone feel stupid or dumb and always tries his hardest to make everyone feel included and heard. Eli is dedicated to helping others, whether it is a confusing homework problem, a group project or even a personal hardship. If someone is struggling, Eli is the one who will come to help, even when he gains nothing from doing so. Eli would be an amazing choice for this scholarship.
I have known Eli since he was a 6th grader at Din Riggio. I have watched him grow into an amazing young man. I have known him on both a personal and a professional level, as I was an Assistant Principal at LHS for the first 3 years of his high school career. Eli exemplifies what a student athlete should be. He is smart, hard working, athletic, and very kind. He is always positive and fun loving.
I was one of Eli’s grade school teachers and I couldn’t think of a more deserving student of this scholarship than Eli. He is one of the most dedicated, responsible, and self motivated students I have ever met. Eli was a “big buddy” to my son when he was in kindergarten and my son continues to look up to Eli to this day. I could not have picked a better role model for my son. I highly recommended that Eli is chosen for this scholarship. Please contact me if you have any questions!
Eli is one of my best friends. He is one of the nicest most genuine people I will ever meet in my life. I know he will always be there for me no matter what. This all goes on top of how much of a hard worker wether it’s in the class room or on the Diamond, Eli is one of the first there and the last to leave. Eli is just a great human. Everyone loves Eli.
Eli is a standout person from top to bottom. He’s an excellent team mate, who puts a 100% effort every time he goes on the field . He’s a leader on and off the field and one of the smartest persons I know. He’s a great friend I personally and many others can always rely on and be there for you. I think he’s an excellent person for this scholarship!
Eli has been a great friend ever since I met him in first grade. Now with us graduating together, I can firmly say he has accomplished everything he has put his mind to all while supporting his friends through their journeys as well! He is a great choice for your scholarship!
Where do I even begin. When I think of hard work the image that is evoked in my head is Eli Brady Edward Hancock. He has been a model student from the moment I have met him. His parents have taught him from a young age that nothing comes easy and that through hard work and do diligence it will pay off. Honor student and now bilingual in Italian he is the perfect candidate for any scholarship. Eli has always kept his head down and continued to persevere through any obstacle. A broken elbow, arm, or foot has not stopped him from being one of Lincoln High School’s finest distinguished scholars and top athlete. These accolades alone should be more than enough to separate himself from the rest of his peers.
I have had the pleasure of watching Eli grow up to be the compassionate, humble, talented young man he is today. Eli has an extremely bright future ahead of him and is very deserving of your scholarship… He is the type of person who will “pay it forward” and help another young person out someday … I can’t think of a better human to invest in than Eli.
I’ve had the pleasure of coaching Eli in baseball. He’s an outstanding young man, who leads by hard work. True leader on and off the field. Plus, that smile, oh how it lights up a room. No one better.
My catch partner. I’ve known Eli since I was 10 and he’s always been one of the hardest working guys on and off the field. It’s rare to find someone like him, because he’s one of those people that will always be himself no matter what kind of crowd he’s around. He’s effortlessly smart, cares deeply, and pushes himself to succeed day in and day out. Definitely one of the most genuine people I know. He will continue to great things as time goes on.
Eli is one of the most hard working people I’ve ever known. He’s devoted countless hours to both school and baseball while still balancing concert band his whole four years of high school. He devotes most of his free time to extracurriculars, his education, and community service. Despite having such a busy and stressful schedule Eli knows how to remain hopeful and maintain a positive outlook on life. He is a kind and hardworking student athlete who is deeply deserving of this scholarship.
After serving 24 years as an educator, I have encountered very few students who possess the rare combination of intellect, compassion, integrity, and humility as Eli Hancock. He is a true Renaissance Man! A scholar, musician, athlete and humanitarian. I highly recommend anyone with resources to invest in Eli Hancock.
Eli is truly one of those special guys who you get to know and are impressed by his many gifts. I was fortunate to get to know him in his little league years as he was on my son Keagan's team and he was well liked and a joy to coach. Watching him grow up has been a pleasure. His musical talents as a trombonist are just phenomenal. His solo's are just fun and moving. The band program is going to miss him after he graduates. Most of all, his intellect, his integrity and his caring attitude for others shines through. Always a smile. You have picked a wonderful person who will go far in life.
I was Eli’s 2nd grade teacher and I couldn’t think of a more deserving student of this scholarship than Eli. He was hard working, dependable and was a great role model to his peers. He is also very caring, dedicated and an all-around great guy. I highly recommended that Eli is chosen for this scholarship. Please contact me if you have any questions!
It has been an honor for me to get to know Eli and have him as a student for both World History and US History. Eli is an outstanding student. I don't say this because Eli works hard and receives As on his assignments (which he does), but because Eli goes the extra mile in everything he does. He is there to help a fellow student understand the material or show them what, and how to do something. He is warm, considerate, and helpful. He initiates and engages in conversations. He is very active at high school and and also the community. I am hoping the best for Eli.
It was my pleasure to have Eli Hancock as a student for two years. I was his English teacher for English 9 and English 10 at Lincoln High School. Eli is a self-motivated student who puts forth his best effort with every assignment, no matter how big or small. I could place him in any group, and he was kind and respectful to all and worked well, taking the lead and being the follower as needed. When I think if Eli, I think of his integrity. At the end of his sophomore year, we started distance learning and students were told that they would earn their third quarter grades no matter what kind of work they did the fourth quarter. Most students I never heard from again or came to class occasionally and turned in nothing. Not Eli. He turned in every homework assignment and worked just as diligently as he did when we were in regular school. Integrity is what you do when no one is watching. Eli has that and more. He deserves this scholarship for all that he does and for who he is. He a fine young man.
I had the pleasure of teaching Eli in the midst of the pandemic. Despite challenges, Eli always put forth his best effort, was a positive member of class and worked hard both in and out of the classroom. He is a model student and was an essential asset to our classroom last year. Students last year were expected to work independently in groups, and while many groups struggled with communication, Eli's team always was on task and working together to accomplish the days goals. When I asked students to request team members, numerous students always said they worked well with Eli and wanted him on their team. Even though Eli is not currently my student he always takes time to say hello and share a kind word and ask how I am doing.
What an absolute honor it is to advocate for Eli Hancock! Eli is the epitome of light and laughter. Not only does he exude energy and joy, but he brings those gifts to the work desk and the playing field. One can always count on Eli to work tirelessly on any project and with whom he is partnered. Everyone in the room seems to relax a little when Eli is around, and in their comfort, he brings everybody up to a level of high work quality. Eli is a leader and he’s not afraid to get his hands dirty. If you’re looking for the most well rounded, servant leader, Eli Hancock is your guy!
Eli is an amazing young man that attends Lincoln High. His love for music, baseball and school is shown through his smile. He is always smiling and willing to help others. Eli cares about those around him and makes sure that everyone feels welcome in whatever activity they are currently doing.
I have had Eli in middle school for two years. The class was Team Games. No matter what situation Eli was in he always seemed to make his team better.
Eli not only survived his pandemic year in AP Language and Composition, he thrived. And, for good measure, he did his level best to support and contribute to his classmates’ success. Eli was one of the very few students who remained on camera, and while there is no judgment from this teacher for those who did not, that habit let us all know that Eli was engaged and accessible. Eli is one of those rare people who makes his own intelligence and skill evident while allowing those around him to shine.
Eli and I learn together in our Student Government Class where he serves as the Senior Class Vice President. Eli's integrity and initiative is unparalleled. His tenacity in pursuit of creating a unified campus culture at Lincoln High School is truly something to be marveled. Eli is also incredibly empathetic and cultivates a welcoming environment for students of all backgrounds. I am beyond lucky to serve as his teacher, where he more often than not, teaches me.
I feel very fortunate to have been Eli's principal for two years while he attended Sierra Middle School. Eli is one of those rare people who excels in multiple school and social settings, this would include: academics, athletics and most importantly as being a great person. Eli's integrity sets him apart from many of his peers. He has a high moral compass and is committed to doing what is right, from work ethic in the classroom to supporting students in need of assistance out on the campus. Eli leads by example. Eli is a very deserving student for this scholarship and I would highly recommend him for your selection.
I have known Eli Hancock for 7 years as his middle school and high school band director. Eli is hard working, dedicated and always positive. I can always count on Eli to be prepared and give his best every time. He is also one of the kindest students I have ever had the pleasure of teaching. Many of our younger students look up to Eli and he is a wonderful role model. Eli is also impressive in the way he manages athletics, band and academics. I highly recommend Eli for the Brookside Optometry Scholarship!
Eli Hancock was my student in AP Chemistry last year. From the first day of class, Eli put forth his full effort and attention during every lesson and assignment. I was struck by his work ethic, but his optimism, energy, and positive attitude made an even bigger impression. Eli showed up to every class with a smile and was eager to contribute to class discussions and to collaborate with his peers. I firmly believe that Eli's participation helped to motivate the other students in the class and contributed to their success. Eli's behavior was the picture of leading by example. Additionally, I have total faith in Eli's responsibility, honesty, and integrity. Students had to take tests during the distance learning portion of the year and upload their responses when they were finished. It was clear that Eli's work was always his own. Eli has persevered and thrived through a very difficult season and has made a positive impact on me and on the students in his classes, and he is very deserving of your scholarship. He has my full confidence and strongest recommendation.
I have had Eli in class for four levels/years of Italian. Through those years, Eli has been great in the classroom and via distance learning. Eli through his work ethic and desire to learn is a natural leader for his classmates. Eli's great work ethic means that for the last four years he has come to class every day, ready to learn and ready to improve himself. That was also the case during the distance learning days. Eli has been exceptional in striving to better himself and bringing his classmates along with him. If you select Eli for your scholarship, you will be selecting a great student and human being.
Wow, what can I say about Eli? He is the model student AND human being. I had the honor of having Eli in 8th grade language arts, and he was that one kid teachers want in every class--kind, hard-working, engaged, personable. I always felt the pressure of making sure Eli was learning something in my class because he was a sponge and absorbed information quickly and thoroughly. Plus, he was always hungry to learn more. Eli is a stellar young man with a bright future ahead.
