High School
Bear Creek High School

Nominated by
Brieana DeMelo
Sally Huynh's Teacher

Sally is currently involved in Bear Creek FFA (a youth leadership organization) and Bear Creek ASB/Student Government. In her sophomore year she joined the Student Activities class which meant she was in charge of putting on many of our school's events. For rallies, spirit weeks, dances, and more she helped plan all the decorations and games that happened on campus. During her Junior year, she demonstrated her continued commitment to leadership by applying to be a Junior Class Representative. In this role Sally assisted with Homecoming and shadowed the ASB Commissioner of Sports. She took on the responsibility of leading her Junior class with the Powderpuff event, making sure that participants applied on time, working with administration to get practice dates and permission to use the fields, making t-shirt orders, and much more. Additionally Sally was part of a six person committee that was planning a fairy, enchanted, and magical themed Prom until COVID hit. This year Sally is the ASB Commissioner of Sports. She has done lots of community outreach including thank you cards for Essential Workers, a Canned Food Drive, a Toys for Tots Drive, and a Thankful Video. She has tried extremely hard to keep her peers spirit up despite COVID.
